Fantasy football projections, Week 8: Seahawks vs. Rams featuring Marshawn Lynch, Russell Wilson and Zac Stacy

The Week 8 matchup between the Seattle Seahawks and the St. Louis Rams has the makings of a blowout. We've got all the fantasy projections for you courtesy of numberFire.

The Seahawks defense should have an absolute field day against the Rams, which could mean a light workload for quarterback Russell Wilson. Against the Arizona Cardinals last week, Wilson put together a solid effort, throwing for 235 yards and three touchdown passes in the victory. He should put up solid numbers again, but if the Seahawks jump out to a big lead, Wilson might not get nearly as many opportunities.

That, of course, would benefit running back Marshawn Lynch. With wide receiver Percy Harvin (hip) still unlikely to play this week, Lynch will undoubtedly be counted on to run out the clock and keep the chains moving. Lynch has three scores over the last two weeks, and remains a must-start fantasy option.

With quarterback Sam Bradford sidelined for the rest of the season, rumors were circulating that the Rams reached out to future Hall of Famer Brett Favre about coming out of retirement. As much of a stretch as that may seem, what appears even more unlikely is a Rams victory over the Seahawks with Kellen Clemens under center. Clemens has appeared in a grand total of seven games over the last four seasons and he's only attempted seven passes the last two years. The Rams decision to start Clemens is an instant downgrade to Rams skill position players.

Although the present looks bleak for the Rams, their one glimmer of hope is running back Zac Stacy. The rookie has supplanted teammates Daryl Richardson and Isaiah Pead as the team's number one running back. Stacy has managed to find space where his fellow rushers could not, and has proven himself worthy of a roster spot in deeper fantasy leagues. While he has long-term value, this week he will have a tough time finding space against a superb Seahawks defense.
