Cleveland Browns running back Willis McGahee is active for the team's matchup versus the Kansas City Chiefs.
Willis McGahee will start for Browns, fantasy owners can do better
The Browns will start Willis McGahee despite missing some practice time to rest his knee. We break down the fantasy implications.

The veteran running back was held out of practice on Thursday due to a knee injury, but he was never in danger of missing Sunday’s contest. The Browns have been giving their feature-back rest during the practice week for routine maintenance since McGahee has an injury history and an odometer that keeps logging miles on the playing field. He will resume his usual post of handling early-down and goal-line duties for the Browns this week.
Fantasy Spin: Though McGahee will start once again, he has an abysmal matchup versus a Chiefs defense that has allowed just two rushing touchdowns on the season. Making matters worse, Jason Campbell is getting the start at quarterback and the Browns offense will have the odds stacked against him if they want to sustain drives and rack-up yardage.
McGahee makes for a desperate flex play this week, and owners would be wise to temper their expectations. On the season, McGahee is averaging 2.9 yards per carry and has one rushing touchdown.
