Detroit Lions wide receiver Calvin Johnson was started in 99 percent of Yahoo! fantasy leagues Sunday. In related news, one percent of Yahoo! fantasy leagues have an owner who will spend the week in mourning after Johnson had an all-time great game in the Lions' 31-30 victory over the Dallas Cowboys.
Calvin Johnson tops 300 (!!!!) yards with amazing fantasy day
The Lions’ wide receiver had the second-most receiving yards in a game in NFL history Sunday. We break down the fantasy implications.

Johnson caught 14 passes for 329 yards Sunday, the second-highest single-game total in NFL history. Johnson's yardage total fell seven yards short of the single-game record set by the Los Angeles Rams' Flipper Anderson in 1989 against the New Orleans. Anderson had 336 yards on 15 receptions in that game. Johnson also had a touchdown in the game, catching a two-yard pass at the end of the first-quarter to put the Lions ahead 7-0.
Fantasy impact: Johnson's 36 fantasy points in standard scoring have to be the most in fantasy history in a single-touchdown performance. After three iffy weeks -- 44 yards in Week 4, an injury scratch in Week 5, and 25 yards in Week 6 -- Johnson has been huge the last two games, with 155 receiving yards and two scores a week ago against the Bengals.
Even despite his poor stretch in the middle, and a 37-yard outing in his season opener, Johnson is on pace for 1,642 yards on the season, and that’s giving him a zero for his missed week. The wide receiver is still everything fantasy owners expected when they drafted him first among receivers on draft day, and he’s the league’s top receiver going forward.
