Philadelphia Eagles running back LeSean McCoy could scarcely have started his 2013 season stronger, with at least 92 yards in each of his first six games, 150-plus four times, and three touchdowns through five games. McCoy ran the ball 15 times Sunday for 48 yards, adding 18 more yards on four receptions. That totaled 66 all-purpose yards, a week after he managed only 81 yards against the Dallas Cowboys. McCoy hasn't scored since Week 5.
Fantasy impact: McCoy's talent hasn't gone anywhere. Unfortunately for him and his fantasy owners, his quarterbacks have. Nick Foles missed Week 8 with injury, and starter Michael Vick left the game as well. Third-stringer Matt Barkley has shown through two games' worth of work that he's not ready for NFL play yet.
As long as the Eagles’ quarterback issues remain unsolved, teams will continue to focus on McCoy, and there’s a good chance his numbers will continue to suffer.
