Matthew Stafford gives fantasy owners season-high in passing yards
The Lions quarterback scored once through the air and once on the ground. We break down the fantasy implications.

The 488 yards were Stafford's most since Week 17 of 2011, when he threw for 520 yards against the Green Bay Packers. Despite the total, Stafford only threw for one touchdown -- plus his short running score -- but had two interceptions in the game. Almost 70 percent of Stafford's passing yards -- 329 of 488 (67.4 percent) -- went to wide receiver Calvin Johnson, whose 329 receiving yards were the second-most in a game in NFL history.
Fantasy impact: A yardage total that insanely high would normally be accompanied by more than a single touchdown pass, so fantasy owners have to be very happy that Stafford at least got the rushing score at the end of the game.
Stafford entered the day as the No. 2 scorer in all of fantasy -- thanks in part to his relative consistency and his lack of a bye week so far. While his 26 points in standard leagues matched a career high set a week ago, a 488-yard total would generally carry more value with it. As it was, the two picks kept Stafford from having an enormous game. Of the top seven fantasy quarterbacks, Stafford is the only one with a high score of 26 or less.
