Every other game. Detroit Lions running back Reggie Bush has been the most every-other-game player in all of fantasy football this season, and that trend continued with a big game Sunday as the Lions beat the Dallas Cowboys 31-30.

The Lions running back topped 100 yards Sunday. We break down the fantasy implications.

Bush had 92 rushing yards and a touchdown on 21 carries Sunday, adding 30 receiving yards on eight receptions. Bush has played in seven games this season, and has 100-plus all-purpose yards and a score in his first, third, fifth, and seventh games, missing those numbers in his second, fourth, and sixth outings.
Bush's backup running back, Joique Bell, ran for 32 yards on four carries in Sunday's game, but also managed a touchdown. He added a single reception for 22 yards.
Fantasy impact: The takeaway from Bush’s every-other-game pattern this season isn’t that he should be benched in the team’s next game; it is that Bush’s production is supremely difficult to forecast. On the other hand, his worst yardage in a game played this season is 69, so he’s not been a complete dud in any week.
Bush’s ability to catch passes -- he has at least three receptions in every game he’s played this year -- will keep his value high all season. On draft day, he was considered a mid-level RB2 at best; at this point, he’s easily an RB2, and is probably a low-end RB1.
Bell, meanwhile, started to look pretty valuable after three touchdowns and plenty of yardage in the season’s first three weeks. Sunday’s score was his first touchdown since, however, and he hasn’t topped 56 all-purpose yards since Week 3. He’s a fine Bush handcuff, but he’s no longer under consideration as a flex play.
