Jason Campbell is just the latest player to take a ride on the Cleveland Browns' quarterback carousel, but the veteran journeyman made the most of his opportunity.
Jason Campbell logs 2 touchdowns and nearly 300 yards for deep-league fantasy owners
The newest quarterback of the Cleveland Browns gave the team a solid, turnover-free start as the team came up just short to the unbeaten Chiefs. We break down the fantasy implications.

Despite falling 23-17 on the road versus the (still) undefeated Kansas City Chiefs, Campbell held his own and came up one game-winning drive short of pulling off an upset. In his first start with the Browns, Campbell completed 22 of 36 passes for 293 yards and two touchdowns. Campbell had good protection and distributed the ball quickly and efficiently, routinely finding Josh Gordon and Jordan Cameron for chunks of yardage.
Fantasy Spin: All things considered, Campbell and the Browns could not have asked for much more, given the circumstances. Facing an undefeated team on the road, Campbell managed sustainable drives and ended two of them with brilliant throws to Josh Gordon and Fozzy Whitaker for touchdowns.
Though it’s an encouraging start, Campbell should only be relied on in fantasy leagues in the most desperate of situations. Aside from deep leagues and two-quarterback leagues, Campbell should not have to be bothered with due to the overall depth at the quarterback position.
