In his second game back from injury, New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski didn't do much Sunday. Nor did wide receivers Danny Amendola, Julian Edelman, or Kenbrell Thompkins. The only Patriots receiver who had much production against the Miami Dolphins Sunday was Aaron Dobson, but it didn't matter much, as the Patriots still won, 27-17.
Rob Gronkowski quiet in second game, disappointing fantasy owners
The Patriots tight end couldn’t gain traction Sunday; neither could his teammates. We break down the fantasy implications.

Dobson led the team in receptions (four) and receiving yards (60), and had the team’s only receiving touchdown. Amendola caught three passes for 15 yards; Gronkowski had two for 27; Edelman had two for seven; and Thompkins was held without a reception.
The struggles of the receivers-at-large were tied to the struggles of quarterback Tom Brady, who had his worst passing yard total in almost four years, with only 116.
Fantasy impact: Brady might not be the Brady he used to be, but it’s hard to imagine he’s this Tom Brady, so odds are good that he’ll have more passing yards going forward leading to more production out of his top pass catchers.
A week after leading the team with 17 targets, Gronkowski was only thrown to five times Sunday. That shouldn’t continue. As long as he (and Amendola) are healthy, they should have significantly more production than they managed in Sunday’s game.
