Despite scoring a touchdown, and despite the absence of the team's star running back C.J. Spiller, Buffalo Bills running back Fred Jackson didn't do much Sunday in the team's 35-17 loss to the New Orleans Saints.

The Bills running back scored a touchdown, but couldn’t accumulate yards Sunday, as the team lost. We break down the fantasy implications.

Jackson managed only 45 yards on 15 carries, his second-worst total of the season, and added only eight receiving yards on two receptions, also his second-worst total. Jackson’s score came on a one-yard run early in the fourth quarter.
Fantasy impact: With Spiller sidelined and only third-string journeyman Tashard Choice behind him, it stood to reason that Jackson would be a strong option at running back in Week 8, but it wasn't to be. Choice had 35 yards on less than half the carries Jackson had, managing five yards per carry.
On the other hand, Jackson scored his sixth touchdown of the season, putting him on pace for 12 over the year, which is a total that should please any fantasy owners that drafted Jackson.
There are no guarantees when Spiller will return from injury. That said, two of the Bills' next three games come against super-stout run defenses, the Kansas City Chiefs and New York Jets. Despite his low yardage total Sunday, this might be sell-high time on Jackson.
