Justin Blackmon held in check with just 31 yards for fantasy owners
It was rough goings for Blackmon as well as the rest of the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday during a 42-10 loss to the San Francisco 49ers. We break down the fantasy implications.

Blackmon had a chance for a much bigger game after dropping a pass that would have likely resulted in a 26-yard touchdown. Instead, Blackmon caught just four passes for 31 yards on a team-leading 10 targets. His counterpart, Cecil Shorts, also had as many looks, but caught seven of his for 74 yards.
Fantasy Spin: The 49ers defense picked its poison this week and did not give the physical receiver much room for success. That will happen to the Jaguars after falling behind early and allowing opposing defenses to tee-off and rush the passer, and quarterback Chad Henne could not sustain drives despite not getting sacked throughout the game.
Blackmon and the Jaguars have a Week 9 bye, but will draw a tough matchup versus the Titans the following week. Alterraun Verner has been a shutdown corner thus far, and will pose a great challenge to Blackmon and company. Despite that, Blackmon does not typically need much space to win battles, and he can be inserted into lineups as a WR2. He will capitalize on his chances more often than not going forward.
