Fantasy impact: Although Roethlisberger’s passing yardage total was above average, he was sacked five times in the game. He simply couldn’t get the ball down the field enough when it mattered the most as the Raiders were able to hang on for the win.
After giving Steelers fans a glimmer of hope with wins in the last two weeks, fans and fantasy owners alike have to wonder if all is lost this season in Pittsburgh.
Roethlisberger has managed to make himself a fantasy-worthy quarterback in past years but this season he has relegated himself to the waiver wire and is only useful in very deep leagues, and even then he would probably only start when your number-one option at quarterback is on a bye week.
