Denver Broncos tight end Julius Thomas will undergo an MRI on his ankle/foot on Monday, according to Vic Lombardi of CBS4. Thomas twisted his ankle in the third quarter on Sunday and limped to the sideline, before slamming his helmet on the bench in frustration. He was attended to on the bench and had his ankle wrapped, and did not return to the game.
Julius Thomas to undergo MRI Monday, fantasy owners should be worried given injury history
Denver Broncos tight end Julius Thomas will undergo an MRI on Monday. We break down the fantasy implications.

It would be a big loss for the Broncos if Thomas had to miss any time. The prolific tight end has 39 receptions for 451 yards and eight touchdowns this season, and at least one touchdown in six of the seven games played heading into Sunday's tilt against the Washington Redskins.
Thomas had had significant ankle injuries in the past, which has played a role in him not seeing the field much at all over his first two seasons in the league.
Fantasy Impact: We’ll need to wait until we hear something on the results of the MRI, but given his past ankle issues, fantasy owners have to be concerned. Denver does have a bye week to rest up, so if the injury isn’t serious, he’ll have plenty of time to get ready to go and hopefully not have to miss any time. Thomas was one of the most popular fantasy pickups heading into Week 2 this season, given his Week 1 performance in which he caught five passes for 110 yards and two touchdowns.
