Indianapolis Colts running back Ahmad Bradshaw faces several questions as he attempts to work his way back from a neck injury suffered in Week 3 against the San Francisco 49ers. The team has said that season-ending surgery is one of the possibilities, according to an Indianapolis Star report.

The prognosis for the Colts running back remains in question, with surgery only one of the possibilities. We break down the fantasy implications.

Bradshaw missed Week 4 after rushing for 95 yards and a touchdown on 19 carries in the 49ers game. The team traded for Trent Richardson to be its starting running back before Week 3.
Fantasy impact: It’s far too early in the process to do anything drastic regarding Bradshaw, as “treatment and rest” is also a possibility. He’s not a starting option until he’s definitely back to playing, but it’s hard to recommend cutting him if owners have had him in a deep league or as a Richardson handcuff.
In the meantime, and/or if Bradshaw does miss significant time, Donald Brown becomes an interesting option for those who are desperate. With Vick Ballard already on injured reserve, and the same fate being at least a possibility for Bradshaw, Brown's stock is higher than many would have expected.
Editor’s Note: ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that Bradshaw met with Dr. Robert Watkins on Thursday, and is still undecided on whether to undergo neck surgery.
