Running back Eddie Lacy practiced Thursday for the Green Bay Packers, according to ESPNWisconsin's Jason Wilde, giving more indication he'll be back at action in the team's game Sunday against the Detroit Lions. Lacy missed the Packers' Week 3 game leading up to the bye in Week 4.
Eddie Lacy nearing return for Packers, fantasy owners
The rookie running back has basically missed two games with a concussion, but it looks like he’ll return for Week 5. We break down the fantasy implications.

Lacy had 72 all-purpose yards in Week 1 with a touchdown and a lost fumble. He was concussed after his first carry in Week 2. In his absence, James Starks had a huge Week 2, with 168 all-purpose yards, before getting injured himself in Week 3. Johnathan Franklin filled in for Starks and got 126 yards himself.
Fantasy impact: So, to recap: Week 1, the Packers lead running back had 72 yards. Week 2, 168 yards. Week 3, 126 yards. Three different guys, sure, but that’s a nice yardage total. With defenses having to concentrate on all the Green Bay pass-catching options, it certainly looks like there is room for running backs to run.
Lacy is pretty obviously the most talented running back Green Bay has. Starks has already been ruled out for this weekend’s game, and Franklin is unlikely to steal much in the way of touches from Lacy. Fantasy owners that have Lacy almost have to use him this weekend, especially against a Detroit Lions team that has allowed 110.8 rushing yards per game this year.
