Buffalo Bills running back Fred Jackson is officially active for Thursday night's game against the Cleveland Browns. Jackson has been dealing with a mild knee injury, but it was never considered serious.
Fred Jackson active for fantasy owners on Thursday night
Fred Jackson’s knee sprain is only mild and he’s active for Thursday night. We break down the fantasy implications.

Jackson suffered the MCL sprain in Sunday's win over the Baltimore Ravens. He got in a full week of practice and was listed as probable on the injury reports. Jackson is expected to wear a knee brace for Thursday's game. The veteran has been outplaying the disappointing C.J. Spiller so far, recording 256 rushing yards and two touchdowns on 5.3 yards per carry.
Fantasy impact: Spiller is also active, but less than 100 percent with an ankle injury, so Jackson could end up carrying the load for the Bills on Thursday. Despite the better numbers, he’s still 32 years old and the Thursday night games are a kiss of death for fantasy production. He’s a risky flex option against Cleveland’s stout run defense.
