Browns signal caller Brandon Weeden is expected to be active as the team's No. 2 quarterback on Thursday night, as reported by NFL Network's Mike Silver.
Brandon Weeden expected to be active, but will not start for Browns or for fantasy owners on Thursday
The Browns’ quarterback situation gets clarity, now that Brandon Weeden has been medically cleared to play. We break down the fantasy implications.

Weeden was initially ousted from the top spot of the depth chart due to a thumb injury, but Brian Hoyer has provided the offense with a much-needed spark. As a result, the Browns have averaged 24 points per game in a 2-0 stretch under Hoyer, as opposed to averaging just eight points per game and an 0-2 record under Weeden. For the time being, it appears that Hoyer will be the starting quarterback in Cleveland for the foreseeable future, regardless of Weeden's health.
Fantasy Spin: Not many fantasy owners will complain about an offense that is scoring more points, and that's just what Brian Hoyer has done thus far. Tight end Jordan Cameron has not missed a beat in Weeden's absence, and has since racked-up enough yards and touchdowns to lead all tight ends in fantasy points aside from Jimmy Graham. Josh Gordon has also gotten off to a great start, catching 14 passes for 217 yards with Hoyer under center. With Trent Richardson gone, and with the aggressive styles of Rob Chudzkinski and Norv Turner at Hoyer's back, there should be plenty more points to come for the Browns pass catchers, as well as Hoyer himself.
