Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Jermaine Kearse is expected to start in place of Sidney Rice (torn acl) until Percy Harvin (hip) is cleared to play, according to a report on ESPN.com. Kearse has eight catches for 128 yards and a pair of touchdowns this season.
Jermaine Kearse could start Sunday as fantasy filler
It looks like the Seahawks are a bit short-handed at wide receiver. We break down the fantasy implications.

Fantasy impact: There really isn’t much to read into here as it hasn’t been decided whether or not Harvin will play in Week 9, or whether the team will continue to hold him out until Week 10. That said, Harvin did comment recently that his hip injury is flaring up, so there’s a good chance he will sit out.
In general, although the Seahawks struggled in Week 8 against the St. Louis Rams, they can afford to wait for Harvin to come back healthy as they have a good record. Kearse on the other hand has only appeared in 15 games in his short two-year NFL career. He's totaled just 11 catches for 159 yards in those appearances.
Fantasy owners may want to take a flyer on him if they are in a deep league. That said, he probably won’t last more than a week as a starter.
