Cincinnati Bengals tight end Tyler Eifert was a popular sleeper pick in fantasy drafts in the offseason, with the logic going that the rookie could vault himself into the fantasy conversations about tight ends. So far this season, that hasn't happened, as Eifert is still looking for his first truly big game. He hopes to break through on Thursday night against the Miami Dolphins.
Fantasy football start/sit advice, Week 9: Tyler Eifert on Thursday Night Football
The Bengals rookie tight end has yet to have a huge game. Can he break through on Thursday Night Football? We break down the fantasy implications.

Eifert has one receiving touchdown on the season, scoring two weeks ago against the Detroit Lions. It came in a three-catch, 45-yard game, which has been approximately what fantasy owners have come to expect from the rookie so far. He has yet to gain more than 66 yards in a game or be targeted more than seven times.
Fantasy impact: Eifert has yet to supplant veteran Jermaine Gresham in the Bengals' rotation. The two have split time, which limits the fantasy value of both of them. With A.J. Green still his strong self, and Marvin Jones and Giovani Bernard becoming more relevant in the team's passing game, it has been tough for Eifert to get enough looks to be a fantasy producer.
Thursday night’s game against the Dolphins has Eifert on the road against a defense that is top ten in the NFL in terms of passing yards allowed. The rookie still has a bright future in the league, but Thursday night is unlikely to be his first truly big game.
