Through one half of play Thursday night, Miami Dolphins running back Lamar Miller is on pace to set a season-high in yardage. The Dolphins lead the Cincinnati Bengals, 10-3, at the half.
Lamar Miller a big first-half accumulator for fantasy owners Thursday
The Dolphins running back had a crucial first-half fumble, but did manage a lot of yards in just one half Thursday. We break down the fantasy implications.

Miller has run the ball 11 times for 89 yards, adding nine receiving yards on two receptions. Miller rushed for 89 yards throughout the entire game against the New England Patriots last Sunday, which was his best mark on the season. It appears clear he's going to eclipse that mark in Thursday's game. Miller did lose a fumble deep in Bengals territory early in the second quarter that cost the Dolphins a chance at a score, but otherwise he had a huge half.
Fantasy impact: Miller, a popular fantasy pick in preseason, has turned out to be battling backup running back Daniel Thomas for touches, but it's starting to look like Miller is winning the battle, as he's gotten more looks than Thomas in the past game-and-a-half.
It would be nice if Miller didn’t have that first-half fumble, but any fantasy owner that already has six points through a half, with an easy line on at least a couple more, probably isn’t complaining too much. If Miller can find the end zone in the second half, it’ll be a huge game for his fantasy owners.
