Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Cecil Shorts (groin) was unable to participate in practice this week and is listed as questionable for the team's Week 5 game against the St. Louis Rams. In four games so far this year, Shorts leads all Jaguars receivers with 26 catches for 337 receiving yards, although he has yet to find the end zone.
Cecil Shorts inury update: Questionable fantasy option against the Rams
The Jaguars wide receiver did not practice this week and is uncertain for the team’s Week 5 game against the Rams. We discuss the fantasy implications.

Fantasy impact: By all accounts the Jaguars are considered the worst team in football right now. Quarterbacks Chad Henne and Blaine Gabbert are not exactly the crème de la crème of fantasy gun slingers these days. Full marks should be due to a guy like Shorts, who has been good enough in terms of fantasy production toward being and most owners' starting lineup.
All of that said, Shorts is not regarded as the team's top receiver. That honor goes to teammate Justin Blackmon, who will return to the team in Week 5 after serving a four-game suspension for violating the NFL's substance abuse policy.
Fantasy owners should note that both Shorts and Blackmon did a decent job of coexisting last year, even though Blackmon will have the edge in terms of looks and production going forward.
