Fantasy football projections: Lions vs. Packers featuring Aaron Rodgers, Matt Stafford and Calvin Johnson

If you like offense, you might want to tune in to the Lions at Packers game. Check out some projections from NumberFire to help set your lineup.

The Week 5 matchup with the Detroit Lions and Green Bay figures to be a shootout. Both teams have been mooving the ball well while their defenses haven't been very effective on the other end. Check out some projections from NumberFire for all the player you're considering to start on offense.

Detroit Lions

Matt Stafford comes to Green Bay, but he hasn't been able to put up some good numbers there. He only had a one TD and a passer rating in the 50s last season. This year could be different since the Packers D looks like a shell of itself. They can't get pressure and the loss of Charles Woodson has been costly. He has a shot to be the Week 5 leader in yardage.

You're obviously starting Megatron, so there's no need for analysis. The same goes for Reggie Bush, as long as he can stay healthy, he should produce nice stats. Joique Bell won't get that many touches, but he makes the most of them and is worth a flex play.

Green Bay Packers

The Packers have been in a groove on offense and they're coming off a bye. Aaron Rodgers is a no-brainer play at home and he has a great shot to exceed the 2.3-TD projection. Randall Cobb has been his go-to guy and he's running all sorts of routes in the slot. He's getting targets everywhere on the field.

Eddie Lacy is back this week after his concussion in Week 3. He should be let loose against the Lions and even if he gets just 12 touches, he can probably turn it into double-digit fantasy points. Jordy Nelson and James Jones are also nice plays this week since this game is projected to have the highest score according to the over/unders in Vegas.

Gabbert's return will put the heat squarely on the shoulders of the team's top wide receiver, Cecil Shorts, who caught just three passes on 11 targets from Gabbert in Week 1. Though Shorts has been the team's best fantasy player this season, he'll undoubtedly welcome the return of teammate Justin Blackmon, who will be eligible to return in Week 5 after serving a four-game suspension to start the year.
