Hakeem Nicks pleases fantasy owners with big first-half yardage
After being quiet for the past couple weeks, Nicks racked up more than 100 yards in the first half alone. We break down the fantasy implications.

Wide receiver Hakeem Nicks had been left for dead by many fantasy owners after 33 combined receiving yards in the last two weeks, but he has caught six passes for 120 yards for the New York Giants through the first half alone Sunday. The Giants trail the Philadelphia Eagles 19-7 at halftime.
The team's starting running back, David Wilson, had to leave the game in the second quarter with a neck injury - his return is questionable - so the team looked more to the air and backup running back Brandon Jacobs.
Fantasy impact: While Nicks caught six balls for 120 yards, the team's other primary wide receivers - Victor Cruz and Rueben Randle - were very quiet in the first half. Cruz caught two balls for 16 yards, while Randle caught only one for ten.
There was widespread sentiment that Nicks’ value way down after his recent struggles - he didn’t even have a target in Week 3 - and the way the Giants have scuffled through four games. While this is only one game, he did have 114 yards in Week 1 and 83 in Week 2. Basically, through five weeks, Nicks has three serviceable-at-least fantasy games. That’s fine value for a WR2 or flex. Fantasy owners that jumped ship might want to consider reboarding.
