Aaron Rodgers, Matthew Stafford both disappoint fantasy owners through one half
A game that was expected to be high-scoring has been the opposite through one half of Packers-Lions Sunday. We break down the fantasy implications.

With an over/under of 54 (per Bovada) Sunday, the Green Bay Packers-Detroit Lions game was expected to be a shootout. Through one half of play, the total is at nine (6-3 Packers), thanks in no small part to disappointing play from quarterbacks Aaron Rodgers and Matthew Stafford.
Early in the third quarter, Stafford sits at 99 passing yards, with Rodgers at 101. Neither quarterback has thrown for a touchdown, and Rodgers leads Stafford in rushing yards, one to nothing.
Fantasy impact: Stafford's poor play can be explained at least in part by the absence of star wide receiver Calvin Johnson, declared out for the game after giving it a shot during warmups. That left Ryan Broyles and Kris Durham as the team's top wide receivers, and the two combined for two receptions in the first half.
Rodgers has no such excuse, as his offense is basically fully healthy, even featuring the return of rookie running back Eddie Lacy. He’s just been cold through a half of play. After a bye in Week 4 and a disappointing Week 3, Rodgers hasn’t helped fantasy owners since his huge Week 2.
That said, they are still Aaron Rodgers and Matthew Stafford, and it was still only one half. Odds are good both guys will still end up with good fantasy days, because that’s what they do.
