The Indianapolis Colts had a huge win for the team Sunday, beating the Seattle Seahawks 34-28. Despite the point total, though, Colts quarterback Andrew Luck did not have a huge game, completing only 16 of his 29 pass attempts for 229 yards and two touchdowns.

The quarterback threw for two touchdowns but was held to 229 passing yards. We break down the fantasy implications.

Both of Luck's touchdown passes went to wide receiver T.Y. Hilton. One came on a 73-yard connection in the first quarter, and the two also connected for a 29-yard score in the third. The Colts' other touchdowns came on a Donald Brown run and a Delano Howell return of a blocked Seattle field goal.
Fantasy impact: Two scores and 229 yards aren’t disappointing, per se, but when fantasy owners saw the Colts had scored 34 points, they probably expected more out of the second-year Luck. He didn’t contribute much in the running game either, rushing the ball four times for only nine yards.
Luck’s 229 yards is also almost exactly his averaging passing-yard total on the young season (228.8 yards per game), a low average that probably comes as a disappointment to fantasy owners relying on him to be a starter. That said, Luck has accounted for nine touchdowns (passing and running) with only two interceptions so far. And his passing totals have come against three strong defenses (Miami, San Francisco, and Seattle) and Oakland. With Indianapolis’ next two games coming against a bad San Diego defense and a Denver team that gets in shootouts every week, there is reason to think Luck’s numbers could shoot up in the weeks to come.
