Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton had an awful night, throwing three interceptions and no touchdowns in a Week 5 loss to the Arizona Cardinals. Newton also lost a fumble and was sacked seven times for 50 yards. Despite throwing for 308 yards, Newton's performance can only be characterized as bad. Coming off a big performance in Week 4 over the Giants, fantasy owners were hoping for continued improvement from the quarterback. Alas, they were doomed for disappointment. On the year, Newton has six touchdowns and five interceptions in the passing game and 98 yards and one touchdown on the ground.
Cam Newton throws three interceptions, fantasy owners stunned by bad performance
Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton had an awful night, throwing three interceptions and no touchdowns in a Week 5 loss to the Arizona Cardinals. We bring you the fantasy implications here.

Fantasy impact: The Panthers' offensive line is really struggling and you have to question how Newton is being used at times but today's performance was just terrible. Fantasy owners are growing concerned as Newton isn't making much impact in the running game either. He only rushed four times for 25 yards in this week's game. Fortunately for fantasy owners, he faces a much more favorable match-up in Week 6 when the Panthers face off against the Minnesota Vikings.
