Jacksonville Jaguars running back Maurice Jones-Drew rushed for 70 yards on 17 carries for a 4.1 yards per carry average Sunday in the Week 5 loss to the St. Louis Rams. He also caught two passes for 16 yards. This was his best game of the year against a Rams defense that has been very generous to running backs. Don't consider this a bounce back game however, as the Rams are terrible against the run. MJD's days as an impact player are history.
Maurice Jones-Drew posts decent fantasy game against the St. Louis Rams
Jacksonville Jaguars running back Maurice Jones-Drew posted a decent fantasy game in the Week 5 loss to the St. Louis Rams rushing for 70 yards on 17 carries. We bring you the fantasy implications here.

Fantasy impact: If you can finagle a way to trade away Jones-Drew by all means go for it. He isn't a viable fantasy start at this point. It is difficult to project him even as a matchup play with the Jaguars so bad on offense. It's going to get worse too as they lost Luke Joeckel, their first round pick at left tackle, for the season to an ankle injury. On the year, Jones-Drew has 208 rushing yards on 74 carries for a measly 2.8 yards per carry average. He also only has one touchdown. The Jaguars season of sadness will continue in Week 6 with the Denver Broncos.
