Detroit Lions wide receiver Calvin Johnson missed Sunday's game against the Green Bay Packers with a knee injury. It's unclear if their star receiver will miss any more time, but Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press reported on Monday that Johnson's injury was sustained in the team's Week 4 matchup against the Chicago Bears, and is unrelated to the knee injury he dealt with in camp.
Calvin Johnson’s injury not related to knee troubles in camp; should start for fantasy owners in Week 6
Detroit Lions wide receiver Calvin Johnson is dealing with a knee injury, but its unrelated to the one suffered in training camp. We break down the fantasy implications.

Had the injury been related to that suffered in camp, there would be an awful lot of concern surrounding Johnson at this point. Still, it’s unclear how serious the injury is, regardless of the Lions suggesting that Johnson was close to playing this week against Green Bay.
Things should be a bit clearer when the practice participation reports come out on Wednesday and Thursday, and when the injury report comes out Friday.
Fantasy Impact: It would be somewhat surprising if Johnson ends up missing another game, given what the Lions have said thus far. Fantasy owners should never consider sitting Johnson unless confirmation comes that he won’t play. He is the best receiver in the NFL when healthy and most figure he’ll be healthy sometime soon.
