Matt Ryan airs it out once again for his fantasy owners, but comes up short versus Jets on Monday night
The Falcons had to heavily lean on the arm of their signal caller in a Monday night game where they fell behind early. We break down the fantasy implications.

The offense rested almost entirely on Ryan's shoulders with the Falcons failing to get much going on the ground. Steven Jackson was sidelined for the third straight game with a hip injury, and the the Falcons trailed for the vast majority of the game, including by a score of 27-14 in the fourth quarter. Ryan threw 54 passes in a loss to the Patriots in Week 4 and followed that up now by completing 36-of-45 passes for 319 yards and two touchdowns in the losing effort.
Fantasy Spin: As long as the Falcons struggle to get the ground game going, it will be up to Ryan and his trio of talented pass-catchers to move the chains. The end result, win or lose, will be plenty of pass attempts that Ryan will more often than not cash in on, which will continue to make him an attractive option in fantasy leagues everywhere. He remains a steady QB1 option each week, and better performances than his most recent one are on the horizon. Although the Falcons have a Week 6 bye, Ryan's owners can look forward to more favorable matchups versus the Buccaneers and Cardinals afterward.
