Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Julio Jones could miss the rest of the season with a foot injury, according to Jay Glazer of Fox Sports. Glazer reported that Jones will seek a second opinion, but that it seems likely he'll be out. That followed a report on Monday night from Jeff Darlington that suggested Jones was limping out of the X-ray room after the team's loss to the New York Jets.
Falcons WR Julio Jones could miss season, would be disastrous for fantasy owners
Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Julio Jones could miss the rest of the season with a foot injury. We break down the fantasy implications.

Jones has been very productive this season, trailing only Jimmy Graham of the New Orleans Saints in receiving yardage with 580. He's been the primary target for quarterback Matt Ryan, thanks to a high ankle sprain limiting Roddy White to more of a decoy role, with help from Harry Douglas and tight end Tony Gonzalez.
Losing Jones would be catastrophic for the struggling Falcons, and for fantasy owners, it hurts just as bad. While he hasn’t been a touchdown machine, Jones has been good to fantasy owners thus far.
Fantasy Impact: Jones is a true No. 1 wide receiver for any fantasy team. The touchdowns would have come eventually, but now owners will be left scrambling. There is no true replacement for Jones, especially given that White and Gonzalez are owned in essentially every league out there. One would assume that Douglas should see an increased role, meaning he might be the best handcuff option going forward, but scouring the waiver wire and free-agent list is your best bet at this point. Hope you’ve got a good running back.
