Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Andy Dalton has been hot for weeks, but turnovers got him in a bad way Thursday night against the Miami Dolphins. Despite 338 passing yards, Dalton threw three interceptions, lost a fumble, and was sacked in the end zone for a game-ending safety in overtime as the Bengals lost 22-20.
Andy Dalton’s yardage stays high, but his 3 picks disappoint fantasy owners
The Bengals quarterback has been lighting up defenses for weeks. While he continued that trend in yards, the ball found the wrong hands too often Thursday night. We break down the fantasy implications.

Dalton completed 32-of-53 pass attempts, his highest of both numbers on the season. His 338 passing yards -- 128 of them to star wide receiver A.J. Green -- were right in line with his three most recent games, though he had 11 touchdowns and two interceptions in those games against no touchdowns and three picks Thursday.
Fantasy impact: Dalton was almost certainly outperforming his true ability the last three weeks, in wins against the Buffalo Bills, Detroit Lions, and New York Jets. That said, four turnovers and a safety in Thursday's game are below Dalton's established par. More likely, Dalton is the quarterback fantasy owners saw the first three weeks of the season -- five touchdowns, three picks, and passing yards in the high 200s.
The Bengals play their next two games against division rivals Baltimore Ravens and Cleveland Browns before their Week 12 bye, in games they'll want to win to keep their hold on first place in the division. Look for more Normal Dalton than the highs and lows we've seen of late.
