Fantasy football projections, Week 10: Jaguars vs. Titans featuring Cecil Shorts, Jake Locker, Chris Johnson
We break down the Week 10 matchup between the Jacksonville Jaguars and Tennessee Titans.

Jacksonville Jaguars
Quarterback Chad Henne may have one of his best chances to give the Jaguars a win on Sunday when the team faces off against the Titans. The Titans aren't exactly a pushover, but their quarterback, Jake Locker, was noticeably affected by a hip injury against the San Francisco 49ers in Week 8 and didn't exactly play well against the St. Louis Rams last week. Unlike the Titans though, Henne won't have much of a running game to rely on, and Henne doesn't have his top receiver in the lineup either. With Justin Blackmon suspended for the rest of the season, Henne will have to rely on the likes of Mike Brown and Cecil Shorts in order to keep the chains moving.
Shorts actually outplayed Blackmon in the team’s last two games. He was targeted just as often and caught considerably more passes. Given his recent performance, there’s no doubt will be a bigger part of the Jacksonville Jaguars passing game against the Titans. In Brown’s case he’s been picked up in fantasy leagues as a replacement for those that have lost Blackmon. It remains to be seen whether his value goes beyond deeper leagues.
Tennessee Titans
With the benefit of a bye week to aid him in recovery, quarterback Jake Locker is probably one of the top waiver wire fantasy players of the week going into the game against Jacksonville. That’s despite a poor fantasy performance against the Rams last week, where he threw two interceptions and could not find the end zone. The Jaguars aren’t exactly known for their defense and when Locker has been healthy and playing, he’s generally performed well with the exception of last week.
The Jaguars run defense is just as bad as their pass defense, which should bode well for the likes of Chris Johnson and Shonn Greene. Greene scored his second touchdown of the season against the Rams last week, and he has value in fantasy leagues because the Titans like to use him close to the goal line and he’s got a shot at getting 15 carries against the Jaguars, if not more. When Greene doesn’t have the ball, Johnson will be relied on in the passing game and should still end up with more touches yardage between the two. But even though he was one of the top fantasy running backs in the league a few years ago, Johnson isn’t what he used to be.
