Fantasy football start/sit advice, Week 10: Seahawks vs. Falcons

We take a look at who you should sit and who you should start in Week 10 when the Seattle Seahawks take on the Atlanta Falcons.

Joe Nicholson-USA TODAY Sports

The Seattle Seahawks are set to take on the Atlanta Falcons in a Week 10 matchup on Sunday. Seattle (8-1) has been playing well and leads the NFC. The team is hoping for revenge on the Falcons (2-6), who kicked a field goal in the final seconds of a playoff game last season, eliminating Seattle.

Both teams have some solid fantasy options, so we’re going to take a look at both below, starting with Atlanta:

Start: Steven Jackson, Harry Douglas, Tony Gonzalez

It's difficult to recommend two receiving options against the Seattle secondary, but both Gonzalez and Douglas have proven to be effective with Julio Jones and Roddy White out. Jackson will get plenty of carries for this one, and should be started as a solid RB2. He might be Atlanta's only option for offense this week.

Deep Start: Matt Ryan

If Ryan is your quarterback, you probably have to start him anyway. But he’s thrown seven interceptions over the past two games, and the Seahawks have the most talented secondary in the NFL. It won’t be pretty.

Sit: Roddy White, Drew Davis

White seems like he might play on Sunday, but he’s not worth a start until he proves that he can be effective. He has a history over playing through injury, and that’s concerning from a fantasy standpoint. Davis will be relegated to a backup role for this game.

Seahawks

Start: Russell Wilson, Marshawn Lynch, Golden Tate

WIlson's running ability makes him a consistently-strong performer in fantasy football, and he doesn't throw too many interceptions. Lynch is one of the best backs in the league. He had 125 yards on 21 carries against the Buccaneers in Week 9. Tate didn't do a whole lot last week, but he should rebound against a poor Atlanta secondary.

Deep Start: Doug Baldwin

Baldwin had 75 yards and a touchdown off of six receptions a week ago. He’s a solid WR3 option this week, and not a whole lot more.

Sit: Zach Miller

Miller may play a larger role in the offense due to the injuries at wide receiver, but he hasn’t had a huge game at this point and could be the odd man out in the passing game.
