Fantasy football projections, Week 10: Texans vs. Cardinals featuring Andre Johnson, Case Keenum and Larry Fitzgerald

The Week 10 matchup between the Houston Texans and the Arizona Cardinals. We've got all the fantasy projections for you courtesy of numberFire.

Houston Texans

Rookie quarterback Case Keenum had his best appearance as a professional football player in the team's Week 9 loss to the Indianapolis Colts. Keenum threw three touchdowns in the game, all to the team's top receiver Andre Johnson. Although he wasn't able to come back in the fourth quarter once the Colts' Andrew Luck gave his team the lead, It's almost certain that teammate Matt Schaub is now Keenum's backup for the rest of the season.

Speaking of Johnson, the Prow Bowl caliber pass catcher also did most of his damage in the first half of the game. He caught nine passes for 229 yards against the Colts and he’s on pace for career highs in catches and yards this season. Although the Cardinals secondary unit is much tougher than that of the Colts, the Texans will need Johnson to build on his spectacular effort going into Week 10 if Houston hopes to walk away from Arizona with a victory.

Arizona Cardinals

After notching his first 100-yard receiving game of the season back in Week 7, fantasy owners have to be disappointed with the fact that wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald has only amassed a total of 65 yards receiving in the team's last two games. That low production number does come with a disclaimer however. One of those games was against the Seattle Seahawks and Richard Sherman, who has the uncanny ability to lock down the most talented receivers in the NFL. The encouraging sign for Fitzgerald is that he has touchdowns in two of the last three games for the Cardinals despite his low yardage totals.

On the ground, the Cardinals will rely on rookie running back Andre Ellington to build on the breakout performance he had against the Atlanta Falcons in Week 9. Ellington is averaging an outstanding 7.7 yards per carry this season, despite the fact he has only rushed for over 100 yards once, last week against the Falcons. He finished with 154 yards in the contest to be exact and what's more impressive is that he did it on just 15 carries. There is no doubt the Cardinals coaching staff will increase the number of touches he gets moving forward as he seems to have finally supplanted veteran teammate Rashard Mendenhall in the backfield for good.
