Indianapolis Colts running back Trent Richardson is listed as active for the team's matchup against the St. Louis Rams.
Trent Richardson is active for Colts, fantasy owners
Despite only practicing one day this week, Trent Richardson will be listed as active for the Colts on Sunday. We break down the fantasy implications.

Richardson sat out Wednesday and Thursday's practices with an ankle injury, but was able to return on Friday. There was no inclination that Richardson was in any pain during the team's Sunday night matchup with the Texans, although Richardson did only touch the ball 10 times. It was another discouraging performance, but the limited workload has been the norm for him since joining the Colts, whether he has dealt with pain or not. As a result, look for him to continue to split the workload with Donald Brown.
Fantasy Spin: This is just the latest of discouraging developments for Richardson’s owners who likely used a high draft-pick to acquire him after a promising rookie season. Now out of Cleveland, he has failed to take a stranglehold of the Colts backfield after averaging just 2.8 yards per carry since being traded. Though he has a juicy matchup against a Rams defense that has allowed an average of 125 rushing yards per game, Richardson cannot be trusted as anything more than a low-end flex option in Week 10 due to his usage, health and overall ineffectiveness.
With such a high investment used on Richardson and with him commanding minimal trade value, many of his owners are in a position where they will have to grin and bear it.
