Baltimore Ravens running back Ray Rice sputtered out of the gate on Sunday, and continued doing so until the game's end.
Ray Rice posts another dismal game for fantasy owners
Ray Rice and the rest of the Baltimore Ravens running game continued their season-long struggle on Sunday, this time versus the Cincinnati Bengals. We break down the fantasy implications.

In a game where quarterback Joe Flacco was under duress and unproductive, the Ravens called Rice's number 24 times in hopes of bailing the offense out. However, Rice totaled just 56 yards on those touches, including a paltry 30 yards on 18 carries for a 1.7 yards-per-carry average. Entering the game, Rice had averaged 2.7 yards per carry on the season, and the trajectory remains downward.
Fantasy Spin: Another week, another fantasy clunker for Rice. His volume of touches continues to increase each week removed from an early-season hip injury, but Rice has not done anything with those opportunities. With Bernard Pierce running more effectively as the season progresses, it would be difficult to envision him remaining off the field in favor of Rice, whose ineffectiveness continues.
Rice has a chance to right the ship in Week 11 versus a Bears defense that has been weak up the middle since losing Henry Melton, but fantasy owners ought to continue to keep Rice benched until he proves himself capable of producing. Until he does, Rice remains a touchdown-dependant flex play.
