Detroit Lions wide receiver Calvin Johnson had his third straight big game Sunday, leading his team to a 21-19 victory over the Chicago Bears and a first-place slot in the NFC North.
Calvin Johnson gives fantasy owners third multi-score game of the season
The Lions receiver also went over 900 yards receiving on the year. We break down the fantasy implications.

Johnson couldn’t equal his 329-yard performance of his last game, but then again, who could? He did catch six passes for 83 yards and two touchdowns in the game, scoring a touchdown each in the third and fourth quarters of the game. Johnson was targeted 17 times in the game, as many as he was thrown to when he caught the ball 14 times in his last game, but came away with only six catches this time.
Fantasy impact: Johnson’s day brings him to 904 receiving yards and nine touchdowns in eight games this year. Since missing one game and being hobbled in two others, Johnson has more than 560 yards and five touchdowns in his last three outings. He’s on pace for almost 1,700 yards and almost 17 touchdowns this year, even considering the game he missed.
There’s not much question that Johnson is the No. 1 wide receiver in fantasy football and one of the top handful of overall players in the game right now. He could be facing Seattle and Kansas City’s defenses next week and he’d still be a must-start.
