Buffalo Bills running back C.J. Spiller failed to give a worthy encore performance after racking up over 150 yards in Week 9.
C.J. Spiller disappoints fantasy owners in Week 10 after monster game
The Buffalo Bills could not get their offense in gear versus the Steelers on Sunday, and Spiller couldn’t capitalize during his first game off of the injury report since the beginning of the season. We break down the fantasy implications.

Instead, with rookie quarterback E.J. Manuel back under center in Week 10, the Bills offense struggled to sustain drives for the majority of the game, therefore limiting Spiller's opportunities. The Bills possessed the ball for just over 24 minutes, and their lone touchdown came during the game's final seconds. On the afternoon, Spiller totaled just 34 yards on 11 touches, split between eight carries and three receptions.
Fantasy Spin: It always seems like Spiller takes one step forward and two steps back, although fantasy owners would be encouraged to know that Spiller experienced no setbacks to an ankle injury that has hampered him for most of the season. However, it's a fair question to wonder if he has progressed as much as Bills brass has indicated after receiving a lesser workload than Fred Jackson.
And while there are no moral victories in fantasy football, Spiller still has an encouraging slate of games to close out the season. That won't be the case in Week 11 versus a stout New York Jets front line, but the upside of a healthy Spiller makes it difficult to sit him even during tough matchups. Pen him in as an RB2 with upside next week.
