Tennessee Titans quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick wasn't expected to do much in Sunday's game, but an injury to starter Jake Locker forced Fitzpatrick into duty, and the backup responded with three touchdowns. It was for naught, however, as the Titans lost to the Jacksonville Jaguars, 29-27.
Ryan Fitzpatrick has big fantasy performance as surprise Titans quarterback
The Titans quarterback accounted for three touchdowns in relief duty after the starter got hurt. We break down the fantasy implications.

Fitzpatrick started a pair of games for the Titans with Locker hurt earlier in the year, and ran into issues with interceptions, throwing four in his two starts. He avoided the problem Sunday, completing 22 of 33 passes for 264 yards and two touchdowns, and adding three rushes for 13 yards and a score. Fitzpatrick did fumble twice, losing one.
Fantasy impact: Fitzpatrick had to enter the game after Locker suffered what has been reported as a season-ending foot injury early in the game, meaning Fitzpatrick is the team's likely starter going forward. It's hard to be tremendously optimistic about Fitzpatrick in fantasy going forward, though the team's relatively lighter schedule going forward has to help. Fitzpatrick's two starts this season came against Kansas City and Seattle, which is as hard a road as any quarterback could face. With two games against the Indianapolis Colts and one against the Oakland Raiders in the next three weeks, it's possible Fitzpatrick finds himself with some value.
