He was also sacked six times for 45 yards. He added four carries for 16 yards. It was a bad performance against the Panthers defense which might just be the best in the league. On the year, Kaepernick has thrown for 1,584 yards, nine touchdowns and six interceptions.

Fantasy impact: In all fairness, Kaepernick lost Vernon Davis early on and he needs this weapon in the lineup. Kaepernick has been an erratic play in fantasy this year but the dual threat has helped. He is still a must start and he does have three rushing touchdowns and 310 rushing yards. The 49ers will face the New Orleans Saints in Week 11. The Saints are giving up the third least fantasy points to quarterbacks.
