The New Orleans Saints dominated the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday. Most of the talk will be about quarterback Drew Brees, seeing as how he threw for 392 yards and two touchdowns in the 49-17 victory, but another player was just as impressive: running back Mark Ingram.
Mark Ingram has huge day for Saints, lingering fantasy owners
New Orleans Saints running back Mark Ingram nearly quadrupled his to-date yardage total on Sunday against the Dallas Cowboys. We break down the fantasy implications.

Ingram carried the ball 14 times for 145 yards and a touchdown on Sunday. He almost doubled the output of Pierre Thomas, who had 87 yards of his own. The Saints had 242 yards rushing altogether in the end. Ingram has had a rough season thus far, and desperately needed a game like this.
Prior to Sunday's game, Ingram had only played in three games this year, with rushing totals of 11, 20 and 19 yards respectively. That's a combination of him generally being disappointing since being taken in the first round of the 2011 NFL Draft and him being injure off and on all year.
Fantasy Impact: Many fantasy owners cut ties with Ingram some time ago, but there has been some interest since he returned to the lineup. The Saints are not a run-first team, but they had 40 first downs on Sunday and Brees’ arm might have just fallen right off had they not run the ball. Ingram will likely earn himself more playing time after his performance against Dallas, though he’s not exactly a surefire bet to put up a similar performance going forward.
