Fantasy football rankings, Week 11: Who is Scott Tolzien?
I never would have believed that Scott Tolzien instead of Aaron Rodgers would be starting quarterback for the Green Bay Packers in 2013. We look at some of the best waiver wire replacements for your team and share our Week 11 quarterback rankings.

If I had dropped the name "Scott Tolzien" at any of my fantasy drafts I would have been laughed out of the building. Sadly though we've reached the point of the season where Tolzien may need to be added to your roster and even started in some situations. This part of the season can really take its toll, as we strive to get our fantasy team into the playoffs and look to solidify our starters. Even some early 2013 stalwarts like Peyton Manning are suffering from lingering injuries that threaten to derail our championship prospects.
Nick Foles continued his strong fantasy play in Week 10. He's still available in many fantasy leagues and is a great pickup for those with injury or performance issues. The stumble we saw against Dallas in Week 7 is now a distant memory. He's passed for ten touchdowns and 634 yards since then. This week he faces Washington in a key divisional matchup. Washington's defense has been atrocious and had a very poor showing against a weak Minnesota passing game last week. It would be nice if Foles could pass for more yardage on a consistent basis but we'll take the touchdowns and hopefully the yards will come along. Additionally, Foles has really looked after the ball, turning it over only once this season.
Case Keenum is another starter who has come on the scene after an injury. He's also available in the majority of leagues. With the injury issues to the Houston backfield, the passing game has been leaned upon to carry the offense. Hopefully Gary Kubiak will be able to return to the sideline for this week's game against Oakland and give the passing game a further boost. As I've said before, I really like how Keenum is not afraid to take shots downfield for the big play. Oakland's pass defense has struggled for awhile which should lead to a really solid game from Keenum this week.
Ryan Fitzpatrick will be starting for the rest of the season, since Jake Locker will be out with an injury. Tennessee doesn't have the caliber of receiving weapons that the other two quarterbacks have. The one thing Fitzpatrick does have in his favor this week is his matchup. Indianapolis has struggled against the pass over the last two weeks. They have given up 597 yards and five touchdowns. I'm sure the Titans will try to be balanced on offense but when it comes down to it they need to win. If Fitzpatrick is called upon. I'm sure he'll come through with some fantasy points.
My sleeper of the week is Josh McCown. He's been careful with ball and has great receivers at his disposal. Baltimore's pass defense is nowhere to be found. If Chicago wants to have any chance of staying in the playoff picture, they'll need McCown starting this week to get them there. I'm thinking he'll pass for 270 yards and two touchdowns. That's not bad if you're looking for a replacement during Tony Romo's bye week.
Listed below are the top five quarterbacks for passing touchdowns:
1. Peyton Manning - 33
2. Drew Brees - 25
3. Tony Romo - 21
4. Matthew Stafford - 19
5. Philip Rivers and Andy Dalton - 18
And the top five quarterbacks for passing yards:
1. Peyton Manning - 3,249
2. Drew Brees - 3,064
3. Andy Dalton - 2,861
4. Matthew Stafford - 2,836
5. Philip Rivers - 2,691
Quick Notes: Jake Locker will need surgery for his Lisfranc surgery. He should be ready for the start of the 2014 season......Aaron Rodgers is still unsure of when he'll be able to return. It looks like the Thanksgiving Day game against Detroit is still a good bet......Green Bay has signed Matt Flynn to backup Scott Tolzien.......Terrelle Pryor's knee is a concern for the Oakland Raiders. He does not look to have the same abilities to make plays on the ground or through the air, that he did to start the season.......Green Bay may sign John Skelton as a third quarterback. I've always liked Skelton and maybe Green Bay can work their magic on his skills......Christian Ponder's dislocated shoulder is improving. Leslie Frazier will decide on a starter after watching Ponder in practice this week......Jay Cutler has been ruled out for Week 11. His status will be evaluated week to week........Peyton Manning will not miss the start against Kansas City this week.
