Buffalo Bills wide receiver Stevie Johnson sat out of practice for the second straight day on Thursday.
Stevie Johnson misses Thursday’s practice, presents bleak outlook for fantasy owners
The Buffalo Bills will likely be without their top receiving option on Sunday against the New York Jets. We break down the fantasy implications.

Thursday's absence isn't a matter of routine maintenance for a receiver who is well-acquainted with the injury report. Johnson sustained a groin injury in last week's game against the Pittsburgh Steelers, prompting less than encouraging words from head coach Doug Marrone about his status. Marrone said that he "doesn't feel good" about Johnson's chances to suit up against the New York Jets on Sunday, and when a player misses two days of practice, that's sentiment is easy to echo.
Fantasy Spin: Johnson isn't ruled out yet, but unless fantasy owners are in the most desperate of circumstances, they have to bench Johnson, even if he plays on Sunday. Against a stout defensive unit that would key in on Johnson with the absence of Robert Woods, owners would not be in a position to expect much from the No. 1 receiver. T.J. Graham, Marquise Goodwin and Chris Hogan will be expected to pick up the slack in the receiving game, and Scott Chandler is slightly ascending the fantasy tight end ranks in the process. Quarterback E.J. Manuel is not on the fantasy radar this week.
