Fantasy football start/sit advice, Week 11: Bernard Pierce looking like desperation play
Bernard Pierce and the Ravens haven’t looked like Super Bowl champs and they’ll look to turn it around this Sunday. We break down the fantasy implications.

The Baltimore Ravens have one of the worst rushing attacks in the NFL. They are ranked dead last in yards per carry, 30th in rushing yards and 23rd in rushing scores on the season. What’s more, their entire offense as a unit hasn’t scored much. If not for overtime, Sunday would have been the fourth consecutive game in which they couldn’t score more than 18 points.
Ray Rice has been hurt and coach John Harbaugh said that Ray Rice is still dealing with his hip injury. That opens up the possibility of the fantasy owners looking at Bernard Pierce, especially with Rice at just 2.5 yards per carry on the season.
Meanwhile, Pierce hasn’t been much better. He’s just at 2.8 yards per carry and has scored just twice
Fantasy impact: It’s still going to be too tough to play Pierce in almost any league. The Bears have one of the worst defenses in the league and are 27th in points allowed and are banged up. He’s more of a desperation flex.
