The Pittsburgh Steelers will take on the Detroit Lions on Sunday after snapping a two-game losing streak last week. Le’Veon Bell figures to be a big part of the scheme to try and pull off the upset, which will require keeping quarterback Matt Stafford off the field.
Fantasy football start/sit advice, Week 11: Le’Veon Bell is safe RB2 play
Le’Veon Bell has been a workhorse for the Steelers and takes on the Lions. We break down the fantasy implications.

It’s been a mixed bag on Bell so far this season. In three of his last five games, he’s failed to post a yards-per-carry average of at least 3.7, but the good news is that he’s getting regular work. The rookie has touched the ball at least 18 times in each of his games this season. What’s more, he had a season-high 25 touches against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday.
The Steelers’ run game ain’t what it used to be, but at least they have a workhorse back. On the downside, the Lions have actually been effective in stopping the run, ranking eighth in the NFL in rushing yards allowed while giving up just five rushing scores all season.
Fantasy impact: A featured back is a nice asset to have in fantasy, so he’s a guy to start in most leagues. It also helps that he’s being used more in the passing game because the Lions have a lot of fire power on offense. Bell serves as a fairly safe RB2 with room for a big line as long as he can break a big play, which is something he hasn’t done yet.
