With everybody healthy, there wasn't much mystery to the Green Bay Packers' passing game. Jordy Nelson was the target-eating, chain-moving possession receiver; Randall Cobb was the versatile chess piece, James Jones was the complimentary presence and Jermichael Finley was the tight end who could exploit mismatches with linebackers and safeties.
Fantasy football start/sit advice, Week 11: Jordy Nelson is iffy start
The Green Bay Packers’ passing game is taking a tumble with the absence of Aaron Rodgers. Can Jordy Nelson still thrive without his All-Pro quarterback this week? We break down the fantasy implications.

But oh, how quickly things can change, and drastically. Nelson and Jones are the only ones of the aforementioned taking the field this Sunday, and with Aaron Rodgers still sidelined with a collarbone injury, things only get murkier. Nelson was on his way to being one of fantasy football's top receivers of 2013, but when Rodgers went down, so did his numbers. Over the past two games, Nelson has not found the end zone after averaging a touchdown per game beforehand.
Fantasy Spin: With Jarret Boykin leading the Packers in receiving in Week 10 with 112 yards, the concern is that stop-gap quarterback Scott Tolzien has made a new receiver his No. 1 option. That's a hasty generalization to make after one game, especially with such a tenuous situation at quarterback in the first place. Though Boykin's fantasy point total trumped Nelson's, it's not like Nelson was not involved in the mix. His 10 targets in Week 10 combined with his nine in Week 9 lead the team during Rodgers' absence.
It won't be smooth sailing for Nelson, but the opportunities will still be there for him to put up fantasy points. Rodgers on the sideline caps his upside, but that doesn't mean there isn't value to be had at all versus the New York Giants this Sunday. Nelson warrants a WR3 spot at worst in fantasy lineups, and if the volume of targets continues, he is talented enough to capitalize.
