Fantasy football projections, Week 11: Lions vs. Steelers featuring Matthew Stafford, Calvin Johnson and Ben Roethlisberger

We break down the Week 11 matchup between the Detroit Lions and the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The Week 11 matchup between the Detroit Lions and the Pittsburgh Steelers could see the Black and Gold playing catch up. We've got all the fantasy projections for you courtesy of numberFire.

Detroit Lions

The Lions offense has seen its leaders producing at a high volume lately. Quarterback Matthew Stafford didn't throw for a lot of yards last week against the Chicago Bears, but he did find the end zone on three occasions. Since the Lions were ahead most of the game, Stafford tied a season low by attempting just 35 passes in the game, which is well below his usual range of 40-50 attempts.

Luckily for fantasy owners of receiver Calvin Johnson, Stafford finds his best option frequently. That's especially true now that Johnson has caught fire in the last few weeks. Megatron has an outstanding nine touchdowns in eight games this year, giving him an outside chance at more than 20 scores this year, which is absolutely ridiculous from a fantasy perspective.

Pittsburgh Steelers

Although Ben Roethlisberger isn't exactly an elite fantasy passer, he may have to throw every completion he can if the Steelers fall behind early against the Lions. That could very well be the case considering how well the Lions' top players have been performing of late. Big Ben did throw for 400 yards against the New England Patriots just two weeks ago, a game in which the Patriots posted 55 points.

It would be a stretch to say the Lions would match the Patriots' point total, but if they are ahead by a wide margin, it will limit the effectiveness of rookie rusher Le'Veon Bell, who has played better of late for the Steelers. He managed 96 total yards and a touchdown against the Buffalo Bills last week and has all of the touchdowns scored by any member of the Steelers backfield this season. That's pretty impressive considering he missed the first few weeks of the season due to injury. If the Steelers can avoid a shootout against the Lions, it will be to Bell's benefit.
