The Week 11 game between the Atlanta Falcons and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers features two offenses with their share of holes. We've got all the fantasy projections for you courtesy of numberFire.
Atlanta Falcons
Quarterback Matt Ryan just isn't what he used to be from a fantasy perspective. He hasn't thrown more than a single touchdown in each of the team's last three games. In all fairness to him though, his last three games were against the Seattle Seahawks, Carolina Panthers and Arizona Cardinals, three teams that pride themselves on their pass defense.
One thing that is going Ryan's way is that he finally has his top wide receiver back in the lineup, Roddy White. Fantasy owners shouldn't get too excited though as White only managed one catch against the Seahawks last week. He was blanketed by cornerback Richard Sherman for much of the game and just couldn't find a way to break loose. The matchup this week against the Buccaneers isn't any easier as White will draw cornerback Darrelle Revis in coverage. Given that White is still banged up with a shoulder injury, fantasy owners might be best advised to sit him this week.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers
All is well that ends well as the Buccaneers finally managed their first win of the season in Week 11 against the Miami Dolphins. Their success can be attributed to the running game, believe it or not. Relative unknown Bobby Rainey rushed for 5.6 yards a carry in the contest, including his first touchdown of the season. Coach Greg Schiano said earlier this week that he and teammate Brian Leonard should be working on some sort of a timeshare basis against the Falcons with Mike James (broken ankle) and Doug Martin (torn labrum) both out for the season with injuries.
Although he has struggled of late, the Buccaneers best weapon offensive weapon is still wide receiver Vincent Jackson. Jackson has just five catches for 39 yards receiving in the team's last two games. There is no doubt he'll need to step it up against the Falcons and their porous secondary. The good news is Jackson had the best fantasy day of his season in Week 7 against the at the Georgia Dome, catching 10 passes for 138 yards receiving and two touchdowns. He's a must start this week despite his recent performances.
