The Week 11 matchup between the Arizona Cardinals and the Jacksonville Jaguars should be a pretty low-scoring affair. We've got all the fantasy projections for you courtesy of numberFire.
Arizona Cardinals
Quarterback Carson Palmer is a great option as a fill-in fantasy-wise this week against the sub-par Jaguars defense. Palmer's days as a gunslinger on the cusp of becoming elite are done, but he can still do enough to keep the Cardinals in playoff contention these days. Last week against the Houston Texans, he managed to throw two touchdown passes and racked up a total of 241 passing yards, which is decent. Many of those yards actually went to Andre Roberts and not Larry Fitzgerald.
Fitzgerald will no doubt see an uptick in action against the Jaguars. There's nobody in the Jaguar secondary unit that can really cover them completely, so you should be able to find his share of open looks. Oddly enough though, Fitzgerald's best game this season came against a stout San Francisco 49ers defense where he managed his only 100-yard receiving game this year. Hopefully for his fantasy owners, Fitzgerald can find the second one against the less than intimidating Jaguars.
Jacksonville Jaguars
The Jaguars shocked the world last week when they topped the Tennessee Titans on the road for their first win of the season. That said, the victory was more a result of the Titans quarterback Jake Locker going down with an injury than what the Jaguars did in the game. Take Jaguars quarterback Chad Henne, for instance. Henne was held to just 180 yards passing against the Titans and threw two interceptions to go with exactly zero touchdowns. There's a slim chance he is on anyone's fantasy radar even as a fill-in, to say the least,.
The lone bright spot in last week’s Jaguars win was running back Maurice Jones-Drew, who managed 74 total yards and his third touchdown of the season against the Titans. By no means is that the type of fantasy performance that would garner him much clout other than in deeper leagues. Considering the Cardinals are known for their defense, there’s a slim chance that the veteran running back and former Pro Bowler will finally end zone again in Week 11.
