Cecil Shorts injury update: Tough times against Cardinals could be ahead for fantasy owners
Cecil Shorts is ready to suit up against the Cardinals. We break down the fantasy implications.

Shorts' groin injury has been been a problem for much of the season, causing him to miss practice the past few weeks. The injury hasn't cost him much playing time with the Jags, but the production hasn't been there. Even though the team lost Justin Blackmon, Shorts had a disastrous game in Week 10. A stout Tennessee pass defense held him to just two catches for 42 yards.
Shorts entered the game with 23 targets over his last two outings, and caught a combined 15 balls for 154 yards. This week it doesn't get much better for him, with cornerback Patrick Peterson likely to shadow Shorts at home.
Fantasy impact: Outside of Detroit Lions wide receiver Calvin Johnson, Peterson has shut down most of the receivers he has faced this season. His speed won't allow Shorts to have a big play, and Shorts' catch percentage will likely be low. Still, Shorts should see enough targets to make him a viable WR2.
