Fantasy football projections, Week 11: Packers vs. Giants featuring Eddie Lacy, Jarrett Boykin and Andre Brown

We break down the Week 11 matchup between the Green Bay Packers and the New York Giants.

The Week 11 matchup between the Green Bay Packers and the New York Giants features a downgraded passing game against an improved rush attack. We have fantasy projections for you courtesy of numberFire.

Green Bay Packers

Third-string quarterback Scott Tolzien will start this Sunday's game in New York. It goes without saying that he wasn't on the fantasy radar to start the season with Seneca Wallace and former Super Bowl MVP Aaron Rodgers in front of him on the depth chart. The fact that he is a relative unknown is bad news for fantasy owners of Packers receivers. At least Jarrett Boykin did well last week. He was targeted a team-high 13 times last week for 112 yards against the Philadelphia Eagles and should be in for a busy day against the Giants.

That said, it wouldn't surprise anybody if the Packers were heavily reliant on rookie running back Eddie Lacy. Lacy managed 26 touches and 86 total yards against the Eagles. He has given the Packers a running game that they haven't had in years, and if Tolzien struggles in just his second NFL appearance, Lacy will have to be the guy that moves the chains.

New York Giants

Don't look now, but Andre Brown is a bona fide starting fantasy running back. After missing the first half of the season with a broken leg, Brown came off injured reserve and was a machine for the Giants in their victory last week. He carried the ball 30 times in the game for 115 yards and a touchdown. Brown should be used a lot against the Packers, giving hope to owners whose rushing attacks have been decimated by injuries.

Ironically, one area that the Giants now need to improve is the passing game. Quarterback Eli Manning has struggled lately to connect with familiar targets Victor Cruz and Hakeem Nicks. Young gun Reuben Randle has actually been the most consistent Giants pass catcher the last couple of weeks. He has five touchdowns on the season, all of them coming in his last five games. With Cruz, in particular, cold in that category as of late, Randle now leads the team in touchdown receptions.
